Live in Care That Makes a Real Difference

Live-in Care

Live-in care is a home care service where a trained caregiver moves into your home and provides support throughout the day and night. Live-in care covers personal care, medication management, meal preparation, mobility support, housekeeping, and companionship. A live-in carer is present in the home at all times, which means support is available whenever it is needed, not just during a scheduled visit. Live-in care is suitable for older adults, people living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and complex conditions, and anyone who needs consistent daily support but wants to remain in their own home.

HTR Care has been delivering live-in care since 2017, operating from Belmont House, Belmont Road, Uxbridge UB8 1HE. HTR Care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and rated Good across all 5 inspection domains. Every live-in carer at HTR Care holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, passes an enhanced DBS check, and completes a shadow shift before working independently. Families choose HTR Care because we carry out a free home assessment, build a personal care plan, and introduce the carer to the client before the first visit. In most cases, live-in care can begin within 24 to 48 hours of your first contact with us.

What Is Live in Care?

Live-in care is a type of home care where a caregiver lives in the home of the person receiving care and provides round-the-clock support. Live-in care is different from hourly visiting care, where a carer visits for a set period and then leaves. With live-in care, the caregiver is present in the home at all times, which means support is available continuously throughout each day.

Live-in care is regulated in England by the Care Quality Commission — the independent regulator for health and social care. Any agency providing live-in care must be registered with the CQC and comply with the Health and Social Care Act 2008. HTR Care is fully CQC-registered and rated Good across all 5 inspection domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led.
